Saturday Jason took both children...yes, both of them...on a little day trip. They and Uncle Ivan loaded up about noon and didn't get home til 7:30.
It was a long, peaceful afternoon.
The end.
Actually, while they were gone, they picked up a cow and a puppy.
He has to be the cutest little puppy ever seen. He is a full blood Great Pyrenees brought home to live in the pasture with the sheep. Seriously. Something that cute living with the sheep?!
I protested and thought until late Sunday night that dear little Cheb (short for Cheburashka....a Russian cartoon character) was actually going to get to live up at the house instead of being shoved to the pasture.
I thought wrong. Even as I type this Jason is making plans on when to put Cheb in the pasture. However if that happens, he'll have to have a name change as Cheb is the name for whatever dog we end up with at the house.
Know of any other Russian names that we could name this guy? Both our other dogs have Russian names (Mishka and Sabaka) and since our family is soon to be over half Russian it only seems fitting to name our dogs something Russian.
Jason is also making plans on getting a new puppy for around the house. Actually, make that two puppies. I know. That would make it five whole dogs on our little farm...but they're so cute. The two at the house would be one male and one female....with the purpose of hopefully multiplying enough to pay for most of the dog food that would be needed to feed five dogs.
Whoa. That's a lot of dogs.

Ok...now my kids are back on their "We NEEEEEEEEDDD to get a dog" kick. :) Unfortunately for them, their mommy doesn't approve of 1 dog...much less 5! But their daddy does...so he may win SOMEDAY! (Just not today!)
What a cutie! He looks like a Cheb, so maybe you'll have to convince Jason he needs to be a housedog!
Great Pyrenees puppies are the cutest! And they are such great dogs for kids!
I was behind on your posts and just spent some time catching up. Love looking back on Addie's and Will's adoption journeys. Brings back many memories for us too. What a wonderful Christmas to celebrate at home and then travel to bring home your sweet son! Can't wait to follow along!!
What about Ghana? It is Cheburashka's best friend- a crocodile... given that the dog will be a BIG dog one day- Ghana may be a good name for him...
