New News

Here it is.  Another week gone by....another week of no new news...not til this morning when I checked my e-mail anyway.  It's hard to believe that we have been home already for 7 1/2 weeks.  They have gone so quickly and for that I am so thankful.

The children make it really difficult to not think about.  Every day they are getting more and more antsy.  Every day they ask when we can go see Jack Nickolay again.  Every day they declare that they will share ALL their toys with him.  Uh-huh.  I'll remember that one.

Yesterday they thought maybe we should bring him home quick before it starts to snow.  They want to take him camping.  They really thought he'd like to ride a tricycle and eat smellows.  I'm sure that they're right.

Our rep did get the dossier submitted as planned.  However, we could use some massive amounts of prayer on the court end of things.  The judge is not exactly the judge that we were hoping for, and it's quite possible that things could get a little sticky.  A family in Vlad right now for court had to be there two weeks early for a preliminary hearing before the actual court date.  We have the same judge.  That would ramp our trip up to five weeks....or make us have to take three trips.  Neither one is an overly good option.....  Money....and loooooooonnnnnnnnnggggggggg airplane rides talk.  Join us in prayer that the judge will have a soft heart as she dissects our dossier.

That's that.  We have no clue what to expect.  We have no clue how long the judge will take to review all our documents.  We have no clue what our sweet little guy is doing while waiting on his Daddy and Mommy to come get him.

We do know that God is in full control.  We do know that if we do have to arrive two weeks early, God will grant us the grace and patience.  We do know that Little Jack Nickolay really doesn't have a clue that he is waiting on us to come.  We do know that even if we don't know the outcome, God does....and we try to rest in that.

In the meantime.  We pray.  We remember our son who lives halfway around the world.  We try to practice what we preach...patience.  We stay busy doing all our pre-winter projects.  We pack bags...cause you never know when you'll have to fly around the world.  WE PRAY.  And pray.  And pray.  And we'd love it if you would join us.

Yeah.  This is what we really want to be doing right now.  Huddling around a little half-pint...arguing about who gets first dibs that day.....
