She wonders if perhaps the scholar wouldn't do better under someone else's authority. Then she wonders if the scholar needs to learn what school is all about from her mommy rather than from someone else.
She's in a real fix. She's starting to think that the real problem lies in herself. Perhaps if the patience would come to the forefront rather than the impatience. Perhaps then....
The scholar looks forward to school every day. Every single day. She can't wait to sit in her desk to learn something new.
The girl-who-grew-up just wishes they could skip learning how to write and go straight into Algebra. She's kinda weird like that.
Instead, they'll stick with this.
You know. Writing "m's" and "s's". Spending an hour drawing moons, monkeys, skunks, and snakes. Practicing name-writing. Remembering what "1's" and "2's" look like.
And someday. Someday they'll get to algebra. And the girl-who-grew-up will probably not like it anymore.
