At least back home in our home away from home. Does that even make sense? Really, though. It's amazing how much this feels just like home. The airport. The driving. The rough roads. The motel. It's all so familiar.
The flight to Vlad was very uneventful. And when flying that's always a good thing. We left on time, flew all night and arrived in Vlad about noon....just a couple hours ago. (Monday here)
The landing in Vlad was just like normal. Rough. We bounced our way down through the air and then bounced our way down the runway when we landed. There's just nothing quite like landing on a pot-hole laden runway.
Some fella met us at the airport holding a sign that said something about our family. So. Once again, we trusted that he was truly who he said he was as communication wasn't really possible. He was. We arrived at the Vlad Inn and there sat Oksana with another couple who is leaving Thursday.
Tomorrow we get to go to the clinic for our seven doctor physicals. Now doesn't that sound fun?! Oksana told us that it is as bad as it sounds...which was extremely reassuring. Supposedly we go into a big ole room separated into little 'stalls' with curtains. We disrobe and the doctors take turns coming in to check us out. Now. Doesn't that sound pleasant?!
Wednesday and Thursday we will be on our own...so who knows what adventures will take place.
Friday we will head to Nakhodka to visit our little guy.
The fun has begun!!!
Maybe we can head up to the White Rabbit for some nachos for supper...... :) Go back and read from our first trip in September if you don't remember that story....
