The girl who loved school.

Reality struck.  School wasn't quite as fun as it was the first day.  In fact, school stunk.  Both the girl-who-grew-up and the scholar agreed on that one.  It got hard.  Both for the scholar and for the girl-who-grew-up.

The scholar spent many minutes in tears cause she couldn't remember what the letter 's' looked like.  The girl-who-grew-up spent many minutes biting her tongue so she wouldn't regret saying something that wouldn't build the scholar up.  It hurt.

The scholar forgot how to write her name.  Of course, she'd only been writing it for about six months, so the girl-who-grew-up should have understood. She didn't, I'm sad to say.

The girl-who-grew-up is wondering if teaching kindergarten is really the best option for her right now.  She knows that she'll make it.  After all, it's only kindergarten.

But she's getting weary of seeing this face nearly every day....

...cause the scholar prefers to create her own letters rather than using the standard American alphabet.  Guess the girl-who-grew-up passed on her love for "creative writing".

To be continued....
