Adoption Update

Though I don't really know what to update.

The status is still the same. Paperwork is assumed to be in translation.

I e-mailed our agency Monday to find out if it has been submitted to court, and this was the response. "We can't make contact with Oksana. When we do we'll let you know."

Thank you. Oksana is our coordinator, translator, taxi-driver, friend in Russia. It makes me a tad nervous to find out that for several days they have been unable to make contact with her.

I am going to assume that she is simply in an area with no internet connection. Or that the internet service is down. Or that she is so busy translating our paperwork or talking to the judge on our behalf that she simply has no time to respond.

Talk about positive thinking. I'm all over it.

So.....that's the update. Nothing new. Nothing old. Nothing. Nothing but pictures and prayers and hope. Nothing but the remembrance of little hands pinching my neck. Nothing but everything.

*****UPDATE.......  The elusive Oksana has been reached!!!  She is half done translating our dossier, half of it is at the notary's.  She plans to finish translating this week and will submit it to court next Tuesday, November 2nd.  Then....the real wait begins.  Pray that the judge will have an opening soon.....like before the end of the year (if it's God's will).  If not, it'll be the middle to end of January before we could possibly go back.  At least we have an idea now!!!
